I
agree to read the Transvaal Alaskan Malamute Club Constitution and to abide
by it at all times.

All
Alaskan Malamutes owned or part-owned by me will be registered with both the
Transvaal Alaskan Malamute Club and the Kennel Union of Southern Africa.
I also agree that any puppies bred by me, or any subsequent Alaskan
Malamutes that I might obtain will also be registered by me with both the
Club and KUSA.

In
order to facilitate accurate record keeping I will notify the Club in
writing of the name and address of any person who acquires an Alaskan
Malamute from me, together with the relevant dog(s) name and registration
number(s).

I
will never under any circumstances allow an Alaskan Malamute owned by me to
be given to the Society of the Prevention of Cruelty towards Animals (SPCA)
or any other similar organisation without a member of the club's committee
being given prior notification of this intent.

I
will never knowingly allow any Alaskan Malamute owned by me to be given/sold
to a pet shop and/or animal dealer for resale or for use in a breeding
programme where progeny will be used for unselective resale.

I
will never destroy any registered Alaskan Malamute for any reason whatsoever
without giving prior notification to a member of the Clubs committee of my
intentions, except in the case of the animal suffering from serious illness
or injury, in which case I will notify the committee of the reason for the
euthanasia.

I
will notify the Club of the death of any Alaskan Malamute owned by me in
order to facilitate accurate record keeping.

My
main concern when carrying out a mating will be maintaining and if possible
improving the breed quality and I understand that advice is available from
the Club committee should I be in doubt as to the suitability of a planned
mating.

As
per KUSA ruling I understand that any Alaskan Malamute used by me in a
breeding programme must have hips which have been certified as either being
0/0 or at worst 1/1. In the
event of my Malamute's hips being certified as 1/1 this animal will only be
bred to a malamute whose hips are certified as 0/0.

As
per KUSA ruling I will not allow any Alaskan Malamute bitch owned by me to
be whelped until she is a minimum of 22 months old.

I
will never intentionally crossbreed or sanction any crossbreeding of any
Alaskan Malamute with any other breed whatsoever.

I
agree that should I place any of my Alaskan Malamutes or progeny, that I
will screen, to the best of my ability, all prospective owners and will not
place a dog should I have doubts as to the quality of the new home.

A
"No Breeding" restriction will be placed on any Alaskan Malamute
bred by me which I feel, at the
time of registration is not of breeding quality.
I also agree to review, and if deemed warranted, lift this
restriction at no extra charge, if requested by the owner at a later stage.

No
Alaskan Malamute owned by me will be used in a breeding programme if I am
aware of any genetic or other fault which would be detrimental to the
Alaskan Malamute as a breed i.e. Hip Dysplasia, Chondrodysplasia, Day
Blindness etc.

The
Alaskan Malamute is a "working dog" and I agree never to denounce
to any person(s) the conformation/working/obedience side of our Club even
though I may not personally participate.

I
agree to never publicly pass disparaging remarks about any Alaskan Malamute
owner or Alaskan Malamute not owned by me. Should I have reason to be
concerned about the treatment being received by any Alaskan Malamute, I
agree to pass this information to the committee for investigation.
